How to Join and Conduct a Video Consultation as a Provider

As a provider on the PlanetDoctor platform, you can view your upcoming appointments, receive appointment confirmations via email, and start the video consultation directly from your dashboard. Follow the steps below to manage and initiate your video consultations smoothly.

Step 1: Email Confirmation

Once an appointment is confirmed, both the patient and the provider will receive an email notification containing the appointment details. The email serves as a confirmation and reference for the scheduled consultation.

Step 2: Login and Access the Provider Dashboard

  1. Visit the PlanetDoctor platform and log in with your provider credentials.

  2. From the left-side menu, click on "Dashboard".

Step 3: View Upcoming Appointments

  1. On the right-hand side of the dashboard, you will see a section titled "Upcoming Appointments."

  2. Your next scheduled appointment(s) will be listed here, including the patient’s name and the scheduled time.

Note: The "Video Consultation" button/link will appear in this section 15 to 25 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time.

Step 4: Start the Video Consultation

  1. Once the appointment link is visible, click on it to open the consultation page.

  2. On the next screen, click the "Video Consultation" button.

  3. This will launch the video call interface where you can begin the consultation with the patient..

Additional Tips for Video Call

  • Ensure your camera and microphone are enabled before joining the call.

  • Join the video consultation a few minutes early to check your setup and prepare for the session.

  • If the patient does not join on time, wait for a few minutes and check if they are facing any technical issues.
