The PlanetDoctor platform allows patients to easily manage and attend their scheduled video consultations. This article provides a step-by-step guide to checking appointment status and joining video calls from both the "My Appointments" tab and the dashboard.

Step 1: Checking Appointment Status in the "My Appointments" Tab

To view the status of your scheduled appointments:

  1. Log in to your PlanetDoctor account.

  2. Click on "My Appointments" in the left-hand menu.

  3. You will see a list of your appointments with the following details:

    • Provider Name

    • Appointment Type

    • Appointment Date and Time

    • Appointment Status (such as "Accept", "Patient No Show", or "Cancel by Patient")

Appointments marked with the "Accept" status are confirmed and scheduled for the mentioned date and time.

Step 2: Viewing Appointments from the Dashboard

Once your appointment is confirmed, it will also be visible on your dashboard:

  1. Go to the "Dashboard" section from the left menu.

  2. On the right side of the screen, under the "Upcoming Appointments" section, your upcoming appointment will be displayed.

  3. The entry will include the provider's name, date, and time of the consultation.

This section provides a quick view of your next appointment without navigating to other pages.

Step 3: Joining the Video Consultation

Patients can join the consultation by clicking on the appointment link:

  • The appointment link becomes available 15 to 25 minutes before the scheduled consultation time.

  • The link will be visible in both the "My Appointments" section and the "Upcoming Appointments" panel on the dashboard.

  • Clicking the link will redirect you to the video consultation screen with your provider.

Important Tips to Join Video Call

  • Ensure your device has a stable internet connection before joining.

  • It is recommended to join the call at least 10 to 15 minutes early.

  • Prepare any documents or notes you wish to discuss during the consultation.

  • If you face any technical issues, reach out via the "Customer Support" section in the left menu.
